Professional Memberships

InterNACHI© and CCPIA© Members

Front Range Home Inspectors is a member of two of the most respected professional associations in the inspection industry — InterNACHI© for residential inspections and CCPIA© for commercial property work.

Professional association membership is voluntary, which is exactly what makes it meaningful. Members commit to a published Code of Ethics, meet or exceed written Standards of Practice, and complete ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain their standing. These obligations go well beyond anything the market requires — they are chosen.

InterNACHI©
International Association of Certified Home Inspectors

InterNACHI© is the world’s largest non-profit association of residential and commercial property inspectors, with members in all 50 states and more than 70 countries. InterNACHI© members are required to adhere to a comprehensive Standards of Practice and a strict Code of Ethics, and must complete a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education annually. Membership is not automatic — inspectors must pass examination requirements and maintain ongoing education to remain active members.

CCPIA©
Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association

CCPIA© is the leading professional association for commercial property inspectors in North America. CCPIA© membership demonstrates specialized training and competency in commercial property condition assessments (PCAs), including office, retail, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use properties. CCPIA© members follow a dedicated commercial Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics designed specifically for the scope and complexity of commercial work — distinct from residential inspection standards.

Protection for Our Clients

Errors & Omissions and General Liability Insurance

Insurance is not bureaucratic overhead — it is the mechanism that protects you if something is missed.

Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance

E&O insurance covers claims arising from professional mistakes — a defect that was missed, a condition incorrectly described, or an error in our report. This coverage protects your financial interest if our inspection fails to identify a material defect that should have been found under our Standards of Practice.

General Liability Insurance

General liability coverage protects against property damage or bodily injury that occurs during the course of an inspection. This ensures that any accidental damage to your property during the inspection is covered, and that you are not personally exposed to liability for incidents occurring while we work.

Always ask for proof of insurance before hiring any inspector. An uninsured inspector transfers all risk to you. We carry both E&O and general liability coverage and can provide certificates of insurance upon request.
Additional Training

Specialized Certifications

Beyond our InterNACHI© and CCPIA© membership requirements, certain inspection services involve additional specialized training and credentials. We hold the following:

Radon Measurement Professional
[PLACEHOLDER: Certifying organization — e.g., National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) or National Radon Safety Board (NRSB)]

Colorado’s geology and altitude create elevated radon risk statewide. This credential ensures accurate measurement protocols, proper device placement, and defensible results suitable for real estate transactions and post-mitigation verification.

Ongoing Training

Continuing Education

The built environment changes. Building codes are revised, new materials enter the market, and understanding of health risks (like radon, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants) evolves. A professional inspector does not stop learning after initial training.

InterNACHI© requires members to complete a minimum of 24 continuing education hours annually to maintain active membership. Beyond that requirement, we pursue additional training in:

  • Updated building code standards (IRC, NEC, and Colorado amendments)
  • Emerging building materials and failure patterns
  • Colorado-specific conditions: expansive soils, hail assessment protocols, radon
  • Report writing and client communication
  • Commercial property assessment (ASTM E2018 updates) — per CCPIA© standards

[PLACEHOLDER: Add specific continuing education completions, training organizations, or notable coursework as applicable.]

What This Means for You

Why Qualifications Matter

You Are Protected

Professional association membership and E&O insurance mean that if we miss something material, there is a formal accountability structure and financial coverage in place. This is not true of uninsured inspectors who operate outside any professional framework.

You Get a Complete Report

InterNACHI© and CCPIA© standards and ongoing education mean your report follows a recognized framework — not an ad hoc checklist. The scope is documented, the findings are categorized, and the language is clear.

You Get Defensible Documentation

An inspection from a qualified, insured professional produces documentation that holds up — for insurance claims, contractor negotiations, and real estate transactions. A report from an inspector with no professional accountability may not.

Colorado Has Specific Risks

Expansive soils, hail, radon, altitude, UV — the Front Range has inspection challenges that a generic inspector without local knowledge and Colorado-specific training will miss. Our qualifications include expertise in the conditions you actually face here.
